What is ScandiaPixel.com ?

First of all, thanks to Alex Tew for a great new way to bring people and businesses together. My mom is from a little town called Os i Østerdalen in Norway and I'm as Norwegian as I am American. I thought it would be great to make a pixel site for Scandinavians and was able to get in on some of the last available pixels on the original MillionDollarHomepage. Every submission on this site will be reviewed to ensure that the site is Scandinavian in some way.

To make things a little more exciting along the way as well as bring more traffic, there will be substantial cash prizes every 50,000 pixels and a grand prize at the end.

Why should I advertise here ?

First, there will be a great deal of value added by this being a focused site. People who are looking for products and services that are Scandinavian will find what they are looking for here.

The chance to win something (especially large amounts of money) is always a draw.

Advertising, Advertising, Advertising - I will be advertising in various Scandinavian publications to raise awareness and bring more traffic.

Valuable Resource - I plan on being the authoritative source for Scandinavian Events and Festivals. A comprehensive calendar of events will also keep people coming back. This section will be added in the near future.

Affiliate Program - also forthcoming will be an affiliate program that will increase your chances of winning the $100,000 Grand Prize. Each person who either buys pixels or takes part in the 50/50 raffle will receive an affiliate link. That link can then be posted on your website or sent via e-mail to friends and each unique person who clicks on it will increase your chances at the final prize.

How do the 50,000 pixel prizes work ?

Every 50,000 pixels, someone who has bought pixel space will win $10,000. You will have one "raffle ticket" for each block of pixels that are bought. If you're one of the first 50,000 and buy only 4 blocks, that's a 1 in 125 chance of winning. A lot more realistic than buying a lottery ticket if you ask me.

Once you've bought pixel space, you're eligible for every 50,000 pixel prize, so you could potentially have 20 chances to win.
